It seems as though we’re always talking about new milestones, and we have another one to report! Honda has announced that it has built its seven-millionth vehicle in Canada. It took 29 years of production at the plant in Alliston, Ontario, and the hard work of thousands of Honda employees over the years.

Dave Gardner, Senior Vice President of Operations at Honda Canada Inc. said this about the amazing milestone;  “More than 1.8 million Honda Civics have been proudly parked in driveways all over this country. Our plant capacity was 50,000 vehicles when we started and we’re now building in excess of 390,000 vehicles per year. This growth is attributed to the superior craftsmanship of the highly skilled Associates who have worked with us over the years to produce the quality and reliability that Honda customers truly value.”

In celebration of this great milestone by Honda, the company will donate the seven-millionth vehicle (a grey 2015 Honda Civic EX) to a registered non-profit charity through the Honda Canada Foundation within the next few months. Just another example of Honda Canada giving back to the community.

You don’t have to take our word for it though. Come into Henley Honda today and get into a Honda and see why more Canadians than ever are choosing to ride with us!
